2010 MEETING SCHEDULE

DFU meets the third Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. from January through November. These meetings are hosted by various members and often include guest speakers from business interests and the local government. Special presentations for the general advancement of the goals of Downtown Florence are also regular attractions. Meetings are open to the public, and we especially encourage those considering becoming DFU members to attend. Visit this site in advance of each meeting to learn information on meeting agendas, special guests and venue.

August 18, 2010 – 8 a.m.
Meeting Venue: Shoals Community Theater
A hearty breakfast will be served by Shoals Theater’s volunteer chefs.

September 15, 2010 – 8 a.m.
Meeting Venue: Southall Building, Court Street

October 12, 2010 – 5:30 p.m. Special Event
Venue: Florence-Lauderdale Public Library
Details: Special Reception sponsored jointly by DFU, FLPL, Councilman Dick Jordan and the Alabama Department of Archives and History to unveil previously undiscovered historical documents created by the City's founders.

October 20, 2010 – 8 a.m.

November 17, 2010 – 5 p.m. Special Event
Venue: Wells Fargo Advisors, Court Street
Details: DFU After Hours pre-holiday celebration. Bring a friend!
